Bruce HowardBruce Howard – “Putting Guru”

Bruce Howard’s genius as a Putting Coach is not limited to his knowledge or ability to teach the mechanics of putting, his genius is in teaching that position and technique, are really only a preliminary and rather minor part of elite putting. He shows the real key, the most important part of putting is what goes on in the Golfer’s mind. The real key,  is the training of the mind, which in turn controls the physical performance.

Thinking, psychology, mental discipline – This is what really produces world class putters.

Anyone that adopts the principles and techniques shared by Bruce Howard cannot help but achieve a tremendous improvement.

WHY PUTTING

‘You don’t have to be a good golfer to be a good putter,
but you do have to be a good putter, if you want to be a good golfer’
(Tony Lema)

It appears obvious that there are two parts of golf, or golf instruction.

The “full-swing” – appears to occupy about 95% of everybody’s effort.

The other 5% – towards putting instruction.

Whereas, putting is deemed to be half of the game, so there’s a glaring significant imbalance in time spent on Putting Instruction.

What that means is that there is a lot less material and specialist putting instructors available to the club and/or social golfer to enhance the performance and pleasure of their game.

The easiest part of golf to improve is undoubtedly PUTTING.
Putting does not require any great physical attributes, almost anyone can become a good putter, a reasonable amount of co-ordination, the right knowledge, a bit of experience, a desire to improve and a bit of practice is all that’s needed.

We see it everyday on the course

We can help because “PUTTING” is what we focus on.

What’s One Putt a Day Worth on Tour?
Based on 2001-2002 figures

From 125th to 1st on the Money List, the Scoring Average ranges from 71.39 to 68.56 (2.84 strokes). From 125th to 2nd, the range is 71.39 to 69.47 (1.92 strokes).

Shaving one full putt off the average moves a 125th Player from $515,000 in official earnings all the way to 25th in money at $1.96M — for $1.44M more, almost quadrupling the event earnings!

During 25 events and 100 rounds, that’s a cool $14,400 a day for one putt! The sledding gets VERY tough after that in the top 25. A Player would have to shave ANOTHER full putt out of his average to move from 25th to 2nd. Players in this Top-25 Echelon are definitely in a separate category altogether.
During a season of 25 events and 100 rounds, saving one extra putt per round is worth at least $14,400 a day. For a Player at 60th, saving a putt a day is worth about $17,400 a day. For a Player at 25th, the saving is worth about $23,500 a day.
Who?s improving? Who?s falling back?
